Solaradio Enclosure Model

The SOLARADIO™ is a high quality, fully integrated communications package specifically designed for pipeline data gathering and natural gas measurement. The SOLARADIO is a NEMA 3R/4X system, available in both solar power or DC-UPS (AC line power) backup packages, designed for ease of maintenance and years of trouble-free operation.

The SOLARADIO is available in 12VDC or 24VDC; 12 standard solar configurations, from 40W to 260W; 98Ah to 196Ah battery capacities, and six DC-UPS configurations.

The standard SOLARADIO powers the RTU, and works with MDS, Freewave, Dataradio, Air Link, and almost all other low power wireless technologies. A SOLARADIO system with a 30W DC-UPS power supply and 98Ah battery is suitable for almost all single-run flow computers. For heavier loads, a 70W DC-UPS power supply with one or two 98Ah batteries will power systems with heavy transmit duty cycles or repeaters.

All SOLARADIOs are fully integrated and tested at our Stafford facility. Although we offer a complete turnkey solution, customers have the option of providing their own electronics.

The SOLARADIO electronics carriage is easily removed for field service or replacement, and the powder coated aluminum enclosure is pre-punched for the antenna, solar and data cables, and for mounting to pipe or a Rohn 25 tower. Lightning protection, DIN rail mounted terminal blocks and fused switch blocks complete the system.
