Field Services: Commissioning, Training, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Optimizing Systems
Solarcraft has a dedicated Field Service Team to respond to your system's needs. We install and commission systems on-site and train technicians to maintain and operate systems. We perform routine maintenance and are available if your system has a problem.
We recently added a service truck to our fleet with a bed-mounted crane capable of lifting 600lb loads at a reach of 16 feet. We can easily swap batteries or replace damaged solar panels without additional equipment.

On-Site Commissioning Includes:
Overall visual inspection after transport:
- Inspect and tighten fasteners, if needed, because aggressive vibration in transit can loosen them
- Inspect fasteners on internal and external components, backplanes, hinges, and pedestals
- Test electrical wiring connections
- Inspect the area surrounding the system for potential shading
- Confirm proper site installation and orientation
System Startup and Testing, including:
- Startup and test the battery charging system
- Verify loads match original design specifications
- Confirm alarms are within specifications
- Confirm system output voltages are within specifications
Preventative Maintenance
Visual inspection including:
- Inspect structural integrity
- Inspect electrical connections throughout
- Assess battery health
- Inspect cable glands, door seals, and latches
- Inspect the surrounding site for solar shading or other hazards
- Confirm system location is secure
System Startup and Testing
- Confirm battery and charging system
- Assess battery health
- Verify loads match original design specifications
- Confirm alarms are within expectations
- Confirm system output voltages are within expectations
- Inspect solar panels if present
Training
- On-site training at a customer location or Solarcraft facility
- IOM and Start-Up Procedure
- Proper installation and orientation of the system
- Functionality of the system
- Demonstration and powering up
- Troubleshooting
- Battery training
Emergency Repair
- Assess situation
- Diagnose problem
- Make recommendations and take corrective action.
